The Friends of Lower Howard's Creek has several different committees developed so that every Friend could concentrate on where his or her talents and/or interests could best benefit Lower Howard's Creek. Every Friend is encouraged to help in as many committees as he or she is interested in.

Executive Committee
Includes leadership, government relations and community relations.

Organization Committee

Includes recruitment, public relations, member services and the newsletter.


Finance Committee

Includes budgeting, grant writing, endowment development, sales, and program income development such as contracts with school systems.


Natural Resource Management Committee

Includes the control of exotics, managing critical areas, and wildlife management.

Includes the monitoring of site needs and research.

Interpretation Committee
Includes organizing and scheduling hiking programs. Overseeing the museum or expedition areas, trail signs, and publications.
